Community Plan Outreach Events
The planning process for each community plan includes the following three public outreach events.
Outreach Event #1: What We Value
This is the first public outreach event in the planning process for the Bloomington Community Plan. It occurred at the free Community Health and Resource Fair.
When: Saturday, October 3, 2015. 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM
Where: Ayala Park, 18313 Valley Blvd., Bloomington, CA 92316
Highlights of this event include:
- Get information about the planning process to create a Countywide Plan
- Find out about Affordable Bloomington and the proposed Valley Corridor Specific Plan
- See the results of the planning studies for Bloomington
- Help rank Bloomington’s most important strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats
- Take a survey on the level of service and maintenance desired for infrastructure and other public facilities and services

This is the second public outreach event in the planning process for the Bloomington Community Plan.
When: Tuesday, November 17, 2015, 6:00 to 8:00 PM
Where: Bloomington High School, 10750 Laurel Ave., Bloomington, CA 92316
Highlights of this event include:
- See the draft Community Aspirations report generated from the first event
- Discuss and rank community goals
- Discuss and rank objectives for priority goals
- Discuss potential land use changes related to the goals and objectives

- Discuss and rank specific actions that are necessary to achieve the goals and objectives

Focus Group Discussions
The Fifth District Supervisor’s Office is organizing a special discussion to ensure that Bloomington’s residents have an opportunity to raise and discuss unique issues faced by seniors and youths. More details will be available once the workshop is finalized.
Special Logistics Industry Study
The Fifth District Supervisor’s office is funding a special study on the logistics industry. As part of this special study, there will be a public meeting focusing on land use issues related to the logistics sector in Bloomington.
Meeting: Special Focus on Logistics
This is a public meeting to present the results of two special technical reports conducted in support of the Bloomington Community Plan. The first report is a preliminary growth assessment for warehousing and related logistics businesses in Bloomington. The second report is a logistics adjacency analysis that describes several issues and common mitigation approaches that arise when warehousing and related logistics businesses are developed in proximity to residential uses.
This public meeting will be held as part of the Bloomington Municipal Advisory Council (MAC) meeting:
