The public is invited to participate in a Planning Commission meeting on September 17th . Participants may view the meeting via live stream or by attending in-person, with facial coverings and social distancing.
Purpose of the Workshop
At this meeting, the Planning Commission will consider recommendations to the Board of Supervisors to adopt the Countywide Plan. As a participant, you may submit public comments to express your questions, thoughts, or concerns regarding the final planning documents and the Planning Commission recommendations. Meeting Attendance and Public Health amid COVID-19
The County is continuing to hold Planning Commission meetings to conduct essential County business in accordance with the Governor’s Executive Order and the California Department of Public Health guidelines. Members of the public may continue to participate in the meeting remotely. The public is able to view the live stream of the Planning Commission meeting at http://www.sbcounty.gov/Main/Pages/ViewMeetings.aspx
Attendance in person will be permitted based on the latest State guidance at the County of San Bernardino Government Center, Covington Chambers – First Floor, 385 North Arrowhead Avenue, San Bernardino, CA 92415. Public access to the Government Center will be through the west doors, facing Arrowhead Avenue. All members of the public entering the building are required to go through a security scan. Those wishing to attend the Planning Commission meeting will be sent directly to the chambers. If attending the meeting in person, please note that facial coverings will be required and seating in the board chambers will be limited to ensure appropriate social distancing is maintained.
After years of analysis and public engagement, the County of San Bernardino is nearing completion of the Countywide Plan. The final documents have been released for consideration in public hearings, including the draft Policy Plan, draft Business Plan, final environmental documents, and draft Community Action Guides.
How to Submit Public Comments
There are two ways that participants can submit comments or questions in writing prior to the meeting or during the meeting. In order to guarantee public comments are considered, it is recommended that participants submit comments in writing due to time constraints that may limit oral testimony during meeting.
- Prior to the meeting, you may submit a comment on a specific agenda item via email or online by 8:00 a.m. on the Thursday of the Planning Commission meeting. Please submit
your comments to the Planning Commission Secretary via email at PlanningCommissionComments@lus.sbcounty.gov.
- If you are watching the live stream of the meeting and wish to make a general public comment or to comment on a specific agenda item as it is being heard, please submit your comment, limited to 250 words or less to the Planning Commission Secretary at PlanningCommissionComments@lus.sbcounty.gov.
