The Newberry Springs Community Plan will only be as good as the input we receive from residents, businesses, and property owners.  Please use the following opportunities to tell us what you think about Newberry Springs today and what it should be in the future.

Newberry Springs Workshop #1
Newberry Springs residents engage in SWOT analysis during the first community workshop.

WORKSHOP #1: WHAT WE VALUE

The first workshop will introduce the Countywide Plan and Newberry Springs Community Plan efforts.  The workshop will also engage the public in a discussion about the development and improvement of Newberry Springs in the future.

When: Wednesday, November 30, 2016 6:00-8:30pm

Where: Newberry Community Services District, 30884 Newberry Road Newberry Springs, CA 92365

Highlights

  • Get information about the planning process to create a Countywide Plan and the Newberry Springs Community Plan
  • Help rank the Community’s most important strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats
  • Begin to identify Community goals and objectives

Newberry Springs residents vote on the top community goals during the second community workshop.

WORKSHOP #2: OUR ROADMAP TO MAKING IT HAPPEN

This workshop will begin with a presentation on input from the first workshop and then focus on implementation strategies and tools to achieve the Community’s goals and objectives.  Champions for actions will be identified by the Community.

What is the Community Plan?

As part of the major effort to create a Countywide Plan, San Bernardino County is working with residents, businesses, and organizations to develop the Newberry Springs Community Plan.

The Community Plan will set forth the community’s priorities for actions, investments, and public policies that are most important for Newberry Springs to continue growing into the type of community that current and future residents desire.

Draft Community Plan

This section is a placeholder for when the Draft Community Plan is prepared for community review. The Foundation Plan content will contain the following items:

1. How does this Community Plan affect current or pending development applications in or around the Newberry Springs Community?  Who can I talk to about current or pending development applications?

The Community Plan process will not be completed until 2018.  You should continue to monitor, review, and comment on development applications through the current public review process. Please contact the Land Use Services Duty Planner by email to be directed to the appropriate County staff person.

2. When will the Draft Community Plan be available to review?

The target release date for the Draft Newberry Springs Community Plan is spring of 2017.
